Amber Reumann Engfer
After graduating from Humboldt State University with a BA in studio arts, Amber spends most of her time engaged in photography. Amber has been greatly influenced by courses involving Alternative Processes. Creating images outdoors, whether it be capturing or processing, is the greatest drive in her art. Using traditional darkroom techniques adds to the hands-on approach to her creations. Experimentation in the darkroom and using UV rays led to a unique combination of gelatin silver and cyanotype. This new process has captured the attention and curiosity of viewers, many of whom have not considered combining these two processes. The personal character in each piece has helped create identity to Amber’s work.
